Treabar’s "A Comprehensive Review of the Version Changes in Genshin Impact (1.0 Stage)," which game version is your favorite?

Hello everyone! I am Zhi-Zhi, someone who suffers from “topic selection difficulty”!
On May 24th, the new version 3.7 of “Genshin Impact,” titled “Duels! Summit of Summoners,” is about to be released!
Today, I plan to delve into the maps, plot, and characters (along with trending topics) to take you through the content of the 1.0 version.
This comprehensive overview will be divided into three parts. Stay tuned for the upcoming installments!
1.0
Upon first entering the realm of Teyvat, players find themselves as strangers, witnessing the hero rescuing the heroine – retrieving the sunken Paimon from the sea.
This version introduced two initial maps: Mondstadt and Liyue, along with the first chapters of Mondstadt’s main storyline and two chapters of Liyue’s main storyline. The overall puzzle difficulty is relatively low.
Fourteen characters were introduced, including four-star characters such as Xingqiu, Lei, Amber, Fischl, Bennett, and Noel, alongside five five-star characters.
According to data, the most frequently used character in the 1.0 version was Xingqiu. With the help of the characters, players gradually learned to explore the vast world, use the wind glider, and master elemental reactions.
Side note! Upon the game’s launch, the role PV “The Four Winds” featuring Wen-di birthed a popular internet phrase, “Get to the point, Balthus.” The reason was that Wen-di was idly drinking wine, not focusing on his duties, and constantly flitting around in Mondstadt, which led to Wind Devil Tavrin’s criticism.

On November 11th, the 1.1 version was released, ahem!
This version did not introduce new map regions but updated the final chapter of the Liyue main storyline. The Liyue main storyline concluded.
Additionally, the final message from Zhongli revealed that Rujia was under lock and key, setting the stage for the upcoming plot developments.
Four new characters made their debut: Dazhailia, Zhongli, Dio, and Xin Yan. Two of them are handsome, and I give this version a big thumbs up!
(“Give me ten seconds, Toku!” – Who is crying?)
1.2
“Genshin Impact” welcomed its first map update.
“Pine Ridge Snow Mountain” officially made its debut, connecting the northwest ruins of Liyue’s Mingyuntown with the northwest valley of Mondstadt. It also introduced a new weather system, “Snowstorm.”
The update was fitting for the launch, with its cold and frosty atmosphere.
Two new characters made their debut: Aedon and Ganjin. The plot mainly revolves around Aedon’s legend quest, “The Chapter of White Clay.”
1.3
In Liyue Harbor, lanterns were hung and lanterns were released, welcoming the Sea Lantern Festival. Players “ran out of legs” trying to participate.
After unlocking the legend quest for Xiao, players could begin the related festival storylines.
Side note! The trending internet phrase “You’re also playing Genshin Impact?” originated from the special pre-release program advertisement, serving as the closing line of the short video, which is quite catchy.
1.4
In the middle of spring, the “Wind and Flower Festival” of the free city of Mondstadt was held.
On the plot level, Dian revealed more secrets about Kannibiria in “We Will Meet Again.” It updated the unfinished main storyline.
After that, the Abyssal Beasts appeared, and players first saw their estranged brother, witnessing the reunion of siblings!
“We will meet again at the end of the journey.”
In this version, we cannot overlook the newly introduced “Invitation Event” system. Invitation Events differ from conventional legend quests; different choices can lead to different outcomes.
