Title: Performance Analysis of OPPO Find X6 Pro — From Hardware to Software, Enhancing User Experience
On March 21st, OPPO Find X6 Pro was officially released, boasting a robust lineup in areas such as imaging and battery life, and featuring the second-generation Snapdragon 8 (hereinafter referred to as Snapdragon 8 Gen2) in terms of performance. This ensures users a reliable choice.
ZOL’s editorial team had the opportunity to test drive this new device, and we will now conduct a comprehensive analysis of its performance.
Enhanced “Performance Trinity” for Superior Hardware
The hardware configuration of a smartphone is a critical factor determining its performance. Many manufacturers “stack” their components in this area. OPPO Find X6 Pro is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chip, which boasts a maximum frequency of 3.2 GHz. This results in a 37% improvement in CPU performance and a 42% increase in GPU performance, with a significant 50% reduction in power consumption.
OPPO Find X6 Pro also features a full-power LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 storage, forming a “performance trinity” with the SoC. It is well-known that read and write performance can greatly affect a phone’s smoothness in everyday use. To ensure longevity, OPPO Find X6 Pro has a 12GB memory, which performs exceptionally well.
To further enhance the 5G communication capabilities, OPPO Find X6 Pro has implemented Super N28 5G multi-antenna design, which theoretically boosts the 5G coverage range by up to six times. This significantly improves signal quality in congested areas, underground garages, and subway stations. Additionally, the dual-standby feature allows users more freedom in communication, enabling simultaneous HD calls and data connections.
The cloud gaming dedicated network is still available, and the phone automatically switches to a smoother network line when the current network quality is poor, accelerating the search for networks in weak signal areas and reducing the likelihood of “460” errors during gameplay, ensuring that users don’t miss any intense team battles.
Self-developed ColorOS Supercomputing Platform for Superior Performance
While hardware upgrades alone are not sufficient, OPPO Find X6 Pro’s performance truly stands out thanks to the ColorOS Supercomputing Platform.
The ColorOS Supercomputing Platform is self-developed by OPPO and includes the “Memory Gene Reorganization Technology,” which, from a system-level perspective, achieves a complete overhaul of the Android memory stack. It precisely allocates resources and addresses the issue of resource allocation and memory conflicts. This results in a significant improvement in product-longevity smoothness and enhances app retention.
Additionally, this series of OPPO Find X6 has introduced two new features: the Microarchitecture Supercomputing Engine and Refresh Storage Technology. The former comprehensively analyzes the microarchitecture’s operational chain, focusing on balancing performance and power consumption to ensure optimal performance while improving battery life. The latter employs efficient compression algorithms, file defragmentation, and storage acceleration to prevent a decline in phone performance over time, ensuring a smooth and responsive experience.
Performance Testing of Large-Scale Games
Let’s test the actual frame rate performance of OPPO Find X6 Pro when playing large-scale games. In the AnTuTu V9 benchmark, the phone scored 13,299,490 points for gaming. In GeekBench, it achieved a single-core score of 1,485 and a multi-core score of 4,768. These scores place it at the top end of its price range.
The two games tested were “Diablo Immortal” and “Genshin Impact,” both of which have high performance requirements. The tests were conducted under a room temperature of 24℃, with all game settings, including graphics and frame rates, set to their maximum. The frame rate performance was recorded using PerfDog. The results are as follows:
OPPO Find X6 Pro performs very smoothly in “Diablo Immortal,” maintaining a high frame rate throughout the game, with an average frame rate of 59.2 frames. The phone does not compromise game quality to maintain frame rates. In “Genshin Impact,” the phone runs full frames throughout the game, and the device temperature is well-controlled, ensuring a comfortable gaming
