The gentle watch of ice and water

The night is soft, like a flowing silk. The city gradually sinks into a dream, and at the other end of the dream, two travelers are stepping into a new chapter. They are not just fighting, they are dancing: one is an ice warrior from the abyss, and the other is a shield messenger as clear as spring water.

That name is Silkock. A cold syllable, but it breeds warmth. She is not a flashy war girl, but comes from the depths of the abyss with a persistent desire for power. Her eyes are clear, but they can’t hide her loneliness; her sword is sharp, but it hides the silence of years. If you listen carefully, you can hear the echo of the abyss in her battle.

Silkock will be released in version 5.7. She is a five-star ice elemental one-handed sword character with a unique mechanism: virtual rift. When she freezes, superconducts and diffuses, she will generate “virtual rifts” near the enemy. Up to three at a time, refreshed regularly. She can absorb rifts through heavy attacks, ultimates, or elemental combat skills. Every time she absorbs one, she can gain “Snake’s Cunning” – as if she is negotiating with the shadow of the past, using the cold fragments to build her own wall of power.

Her skill “Silence of All Streams” is more like a sentimental narrative: when a water or ice character causes elemental damage nearby, Silk will gain “Dead River Crossing”. This is a bonus that lasts for 20 seconds and accumulates up to three layers. It makes her general attack and elemental burst significantly improved at different levels. Although the mechanism is complex, it contains sensitive temperature at each trigger point: her mastery of the fire is the reward for her trust.

Let’s put aside the data and mechanism for the time being and imagine what she looks like: the sword trembles with breathing, and the temperature of ice is beyond freezing. She is silent, but the sharpness under the tip of the knife tells you: I have never been forgotten. She is an ice lotus, blooming in filth and darkness, but not stained by dust.

And another name is Taliyah. She is water, a shield, and a cool breeze in the summer breeze. Her appearance is another gentle gift in version 5.7. As a four-star character, she may not be as dazzling as a five-star character, but she has a power that can make up for her fragility and give peace of mind.

Taliyah’s shield skill weaves gentleness into a concrete form, protects teammates from damage, and increases the attack speed of the entire team through the existence of the shield. She is not a warrior standing on the edge, but a guardian – like a nurse in front of a sickbed, a lamp lit for a walker in the dark.

Silk and Taliyah, one is the hardness of ice and the other is the softness of water. The former cuts the enemy in an instant, while the latter supports the entire line of resistance for the team in battle. These two forces are not opposites, they echo each other and support each other. This is just like those people in life who seem different but complement each other in silence.

When you draw them, don’t just choose them for battle. Think about what they will bring to you on the chessboard of battle? Ice gives you a higher level of control over your confrontation; water allows you to go further and more steadily. They are not only characters, but also two symbols: firmness and protection, sharpness and tolerance, impact and comfort.

Version 5.7 not only brings two characters, but also a new weapon “Cang Yao”. Cang Yao is a cold one-handed sword, like a star across the night sky, reflecting the sharp and unapproachable breath of Silkock. In her hands, it is not only a weapon, but also an extension of her identity, and the shadow closest to her heart when she fights.

There is also a set of holy relics – “Deep Corridor Finale”. There are two words “Finale” in its name, but they bring not only the end, but also a new beginning. The two-piece set bonus provides a 15% ice element damage gain, while the four-piece set triggers a complex gain mechanism: when the energy is zero, the general attack and elemental burst are significantly increased, but after triggering, it will cause a 6-second mutual blockade. This “trade-off” design is very similar to the choice in life: are you willing to bloom in the present, or save your strength for the future? Are you willing to charge, or are you willing to wait? Between the two, each of us is making a choice.

Such a mechanism is not only a test of the player’s operating rhythm, but also a metaphor for the current relationship with others: when you run at full speed, will you ignore the internal energy saving? When you protect others, will you exhaust yourself? They in the game also let us experience reality in the virtual world: every kind of power is worth understanding, and every kind of existence is worth being treated gently.

It’s late at night, and the light on the computer screen is light. If you want, bring this balance into the team. Let ice and water watch together, interweaving into a warm battle road.

No matter how you choose, please remember: every wait after drawing a card is not just the return of the character, but also a look back at your own choice.
